Dear animal loving friends,
We have a rare opportunity to make a difference in the Clark
County Advisory Board (CAB) to Manage Wildlife selection, but we have to move fast.
There are only two applicants for this seat which is supposed to be for someone representing the GENERAL PUBLIC.
That’s not avowed hunter Brian Patterson, who has held the seat for 9 years. It should be THERESE CAMPBELL, whose bio appears below.
County Commissioners will vote on this position next Tuesday, NOVEMBER 5.
If you can come and testify for her (starting 9 AM County Building Commission Chambers) that would be great! If not, can you send a quick email to County Commissioners asking them to vote on Item #77 (CAB appointment) for THERESE CAMPBELL please?
Michael Naft ccdista@ClarkCountyNV.gov
Marilyn Kirkpatrick ccdistb@ClarkCountyNV.gov (chair)
Lawrence Weekley ccdistd@ClarkCountyNV.gov (vice chair)
Tick Segerblom ccdiste@ClarkCountyNV.gov
Justin Jones ccdistf@ClarkCountyNV.gov
James Gibson ccdistg@ClarkCountyNV.gov
If you prefer to phone, they are all at 702-455-3500.
Don’t bother with Commissioner Larry Brown- he is in the hands of the hunters/trappers
As a longtime resident of southern Nevada, I love to get out in nature and explore the many opportunities for outdoor recreation available in this beautiful and varied region of the Mojave Desert. I volunteer with the local chapter of the National Audubon Society, which has traditionally partnered with other organizations—for example: Ducks Unlimited— in pursuit of common goals in managing wildlife and enhancing wildlife habitats. I belong to Friends of Red Rock Canyon, a non-political group which works closely with the BLM and other agencies on projects which include trail maintenance and various public-education activities. At Vegas Roots Community Garden, I am currently developing a demonstration garden featuring native plants which provide landscaping for homeowners and habitat for indigenous birds. As an active and engaged member of my community, I am on the boards of several advisory groups including my homeowners’ association and Retired Public Employees of Nevada (RPEN.) I would be honored to serve on the CCABMW in the capacity of advocate for the interests of the general public regarding wildlife management and I would appreciate your vote. Respectfully submitted, Therese Campbell 9470 Peace Way Unit 114, Las Vegas, NV 89147 702-339-6076 firstname.lastname@example.org
